PVCM-25A: Photo Voltaic Charge Module 25 Amp

The Photo Voltaic Charge Module 25 Amp (PVCM-25) is a rugged, low-cost inline photo voltaic charge controller that is frequently sold as a replacement for competitive chargers that have failed.  Installations include RVs, remote telemetering, security cameras, and weather stations. 

The PVCM-25 is fully-encapsulated and can operate in the wide temperature ranges with harsh environments found in remote, solar-powered electronic systems.  The PVCM-25 is a micro-processer based, photo voltaic charge controller with temperature compensation that is used for sealed or flooded batteries.    It senses when a battery is fully charged and disconnects the PV charge current to avoid over-charging the battery.  It resumes charging the battery when the battery voltage has dropped sufficiently to accept additional charge current.  The PVCM-25 switches automatically between 12 and 24 volt systems and its pulse action extends battery life by reducing sulfation.

The PVCM-25 can handle up to 450 Watts but check the current rating on the solar panel because each manufacturer can be slightly different.

    replaced an older pvcm25 unit that started overcharging was about 10 years old works good charging at 12.8 volts now
